The past couple of days, I have been talking to Aaron Jr about it being Daddy's birthday on Monday. He has seemed a little confused when I tell him that Daddy's birthday is coming up and he has said a few times, "but Daddy's dead."
I am sure he just wonders how he can have a birthday if he is gone. So I told him that we can still celebrate his birthday.
After he said it today, I asked him, "So where's Daddy?"
His response was, "He's in kevin."
It was so funny. I was giggling to myself. But, I told him that it is actually called HEAVEN and had him repeat it.
These moments with him as he tries to understand exactly where Aaron is are priceless. He is learning and comprehending more each day. He is excited to blow out Daddy's birthday candles today.
Happy Birthday, Aaron / Daddy !
We love you !

happy birthday Aaron :)
Little Spencer saw on our calendar that it is Aaron's birthday today. He had the same confusion when I explained that even though he is dead, we can still remember him on his birthday. Have fun celebrating a special guy in your lives.
Sweet. Sawdust in his pockets, I love it.
Happy Birthday to a great guy!
We talked about him this morning before school. We love and miss him.
We were playing a game the other day, the thimble game, and the topic was an aunt of uncle. Jack said Uncle Aaron very first and all the other kids said "that's who I was going to guess". It was cute. We all love and miss him. Love you too!!!
Happy Birth Day to Aaron and all of you.
i would add his excellent choice in women, if i were making that list!! ;)
i hope you have had a good day.
Happy Birthday! Aaron.
Even though i never met him, i know how special he was.
I'm so glad Aaron Jr. is starting to understand. What a sweet boy. Happy Birthday AARON!
Wow! Our lives are so mirrored! Love ya. I wish there was a magic pill that would take all the hurt away. I have to think that Aaron and John must know each other, and somehow helped us to meet so that we could be a support to each other.
