Happy Birthday, Grace!

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

These were taken at Grace's (niece on the Harkness side) birthday party. It was a nice evening and fun to all get together. We missed Dave and April and Suzy, of course. Thanks Nick and Sadie for the nice evening. Happy Birthday, Grace!

Aaron Jr. wondering how he is going to get into that pinata. All he can do is hit it and make it swing.

Grandma Harkness and Aaron Jr.
I think Aaron Jr. is getting ready to throw himself on the ball to protect it.

Aaron, Isaac, and Steve (Aaron's brother and his son)

Lillie Pearl
I am not sure what she was up to, but she sure wanted to be heard. :)

Grace and Aaron Jr.
I think she is blowing out the candles in this photo.

Christa and Malia
Candid shot that I think turned out really cute.

Grandpa Harkness and Aaron Jr.
Just having a nice conversation.

Lillie Pearl and Grace
They kept tangling themselves in that net and pretending they were caught in a web. I think that was the story anyway. Also, that is Grace's new puppy.

Nick and Sophia
She looks distressed, but Nick is taking it all in stride.

Sadie and Sophia
There's a little smile. She loves Mommy.

Me (Leslie) and Aaron Jr.
I guess he likes biting the heads off of toy animals. Hmmm...

It's What Fun Is... LAGOON!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Thanks to John and Tawnie, some of us were able to go to Lagoon using passes that were an incredibly great deal. I (Leslie) was able to take Aaron Jr. and meet some of my family there. It was so much fun. I didn't even ride that many rides, only a couple... but I had more fun there than I have ever had because I got to watch Aaron Jr. have such a great time. He loved it.

The kids all loved the tilt-a-whirl. And when I say kids, I mean us grown up kids as well. That was our favorite ride. Aaron Jr. and Stella

Aaron Jr. got pretty daring and started throwing his hands in the air like his cousin Caroline.

It was a blast. Thanks again John and Tawnie. We love you.

Home Made Fun

* * * * * * * * *

Zachary (my nephew) came up with this home made waterslide. The kids had a blast sliding down it. Doesn't it remind all of us adults of times when we had to make our own kind of fun when we were little?
Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle Robert, Aunt Teresa, Uncle Spencer, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Mark, and I (Leslie) were all there to assist when needed.

P.S. All of the spots where you see a black box with the word 'censored' written in it is where there was a child in his birthday suit. I preferred to keep that off of the internet. :)

Aaron Jr. being helped down the slide by Uncle Spencer.

Luke daring to go alone.

Aaron Jr. making a great big splash.

Lil Spencer taking a turn.

Zachary enjoying his invention.

Uncle Spencer decides it isn't just for the kids.
Thanks Uncle Mark for helping with the water.

Aaron Jr. when he was finished playing... look at how full his diaper is. Those things sure hold a lot of water. Wow!

I Want To Be Like My Dad

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Needless to say, he loves his Dad.

Aaron Jr. is obsessed with trying on shoes. Daddy's shoes proved to be very hard to walk in.

I found Aaron Jr. trying to put on Daddy's vest, so I helped him with it. He walked around for a while like this. It was so precious.

FIVE YEARS

* * * * * * *
August 21, 2007 was our FIFTH anniversary. I am grateful for Aaron and the five years we have spent together. Hopefully, the next five years will be even better.
We celebrated by going down to Brian Head, Utah. We went biking and had a great time for a couple of days. It is a beautiful place. Here are some photos from our trip.

Our Family

Aaron pulling Aaron Jr. in the bike trailer on a trail that wasn't quite wide enough some of the time. Aaron pulled that trailer like a champ. Aaron Jr. didn't love the bumping around some of the time, so he enjoyed a sucker along the way to try to keep him happy.

Leslie pulling the water bottles on her back. :)

Aaron Jr. liked this part. It wasn't so bumpy.

Aaron Jr. looking cool in his shades.

Father and son in matching swim shorts looking for rocks to throw.

The reason I put this photo in is because I wanted my family to see it and to see if they thought Aaron Jr. looked SO much like my nephew David. I think so and it is crazy. Hard to see through the mesh, but just try.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Well...I finally did it. here is my blog. I haven't felt like I had the time to do this, but I just need to do it so that I feel like I am sharing our lives somehow. So, this first entry will be to introduce my blog and to introduce our family. This photo is about a year and a half old, but it will do for now.
This is us: Me (Leslie), Aaron Jr, and Aaron.
