Halloween 2007

* * * * * * * * *

Well, this year, Aaron Jr was a cowboy again. Everything he needed to be a cowboy still fit him except the black boots he wore last year. So, I found some cowboy boots at the D.I. that were just a tad too big, but they worked out perfectly. He loves to wear them and he looked so cute again this year. I think being a cowboy suits him. Like father, like son. I love it.
Aaron just painted the shed in our backyard this red color and I was so excited to take photos of Aaron Jr in his cowboy outfit in front of the shed because it looked like he was standing in front of a barn. There are also a couple taken in our garden with the broken down corn stalks. I know I went a little overboard, but I couldn't help myself. And since we only have one child... all of the photos, of course, are of him. :) I would apologize for how many there are... but I can't... I just think they are so cute...
Enjoy...

I put this one in because we were trying to get him to stand there and smile and he kept wanting to walk towards us... so Aaron held out a carpenter pencil that he had with him and say 'candy'. It was to get his attention, but then he wanted it and when Aaron gave it to him, he put it in his mouth quickly realized that it was not candy. We finally did get a smile though...

We are on our way. I took this as we were on our way to our first house to go trick or treating. I guess he was excited about the bucket. Sorry it is blurry, we were walking.

This is us. I didn't really dress the part, but I just don't really get into it that much for me.

When we got home, Aaron Jr had a vice grip on his bucket handle. He wouldn't even let me take it from him while he got up in his high chair to have dinner. I had to lift him and he still wouldn't let go. I didn't get him to let go until I pulled his coat off. But then...

He sat with it while he ate his chicken. You can see that he is using one hand to feed himself and one hand is securely on his bucket.

While he ate, I put on a movie for him. While he ate and watched the movie, he was distracted enough to start stealing candy out of his bucket so that he wouldn't think he got to eat it all tonight. It took me a good amount of time to steal them one by one. I have it safely put away so that he can have a couple of pieces a day. The saying is true "It was like taking candy from a baby'. He didn't even notice that the 3/4 full bucket had dwindled to only about 3 or 4 pieces of candy and a couple of small containers of playdough. What a kid. We had a great time tonight.

I think he is enjoying his costume more this year than last. He looks like a real life cowboy! Glad you had such a fun halloween with him. The shed does make a nice stand in for a barn. Love you!

Leslie,

Aaron was so cute as a cowboy! He is getting so big! I love how your blog is set up. I'd love to have you show me how you did it. My blog is kind of boring looking and I want to spice it up a little. Anyway, I would love to make you a sweater and hat anytime, and with any colors you want! I love you so much and I can't wait to see you again! And that needs to happen soon!

Love, Cousin Lisa
