Sweet Things Kids Say

* * * * * * * * * *
Aaron Jr being concerned while I was crying this week said:

'Mommy don't cry. Mommy's don't cry, just little boys cry.'

Then tonight as I cried again, he said:
'Mommy don't cry. Big people don't cry, just little kids cry.'

Oh, if only that were true. I'm so sorry you've been crying a lot lately... I hope some happiness comes your way soon. Give your cute funny boy a big hug. Love you!

This morning Benny said, "Mom, I'm Aaron, I'm Aaron!" I am not sure how he was being like Aaron, but he recognized that he was doing something "Aaron-esque."
Sorry you are so sad. I wish I could give you a big, giant hug.

I know it is hard, but you need to let things go. You are teaching your son that crying and being sad is a regular thing not good. Self pity is one of the most useless emotions we have.

I'm sorry... but I have to disagree with the "Anonymous" comment. I think that expressing emotions is a healthy thing to do and I think its more then ok to let Aaron Jr know that you are a passionate person. That you feel and live with your heart. And sometimes our hearts hurt. Sometimes life is hard and its ok to let your feelings show. To simply say "let things go" is an expression that never applies to people the same. What one person takes from a certain experience and how they choose to deal with it is completely different from somebody else. how we all deal with certain trials and grieve, will be different and vary on many different levels.

"Crying, tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution"
-Kahil Gibrah

We all love you and hope for the most happiness in the world. And no one, NO ONE should fault you for finding that in the best way you know how.

love ya girl!

Amen to Amanda Sue.

Anonymous needs to focus on his/her own problems and try to better themselves, rather than tear down other people. We're all trying our best with what we're given. Please stop pretending like you know all the answers... nobody does.

Leslie,
I read your blog often, and really should comment more! please don't take to heart what "anonomous" said. Cowards have a way of hiding behind the word "anonomous"
I have to wonder what has happened in their life to make them so hateful toward someone else who is hurting!
You have a HUGE cheering section of friends and strangers (me!) that are praying for you and Aaron Jr. everyday.
Feel free to delete "anonomous's" comment. You've got enough on your plate without having to read such trash!
Liz
