Pioneer Day

* * * * * * *

Does that just look like the perfect parade photo? Eating a snow cone standing along the street? I love it.

Aaron Jr, Sophie, Sue, Malia, Grace, Suzie

Darci, Kerianne, Bode, Leslie
They were sitting across the street from us.

Steve, Isaac, Pearl, Susie, Sophie

Isaac needed something to lean against, so I guess I was good for that. :)
It was so cute. He sat there leaning against my back for a while. Sweet boy.

Grace, Susie, Aaron Jr, Pearl, Sophie, Sue, Malia

Am I am mean mom to secretly take this photo of Aaron Jr crying so hard? He was so sad that he didn't get a piece of candy that was thrown. :) But Grace is so sweet, she handed it to him after he cried like this.

This was him a few minutes later when he saw this guy dressed up as a Wendy's Frosty.

The two of US...

That frosty would make a great Halloween costume.
Aaron has one of the saddest cry faces I have ever seen. You guys are great and cute.

We almost missed every parade this summer with traveling but we did stop at a little town we were driving through and our kids got some candy and to see one for a few minutes before we got back in and headed on our way.

Ah, the candy!

Leslie

We went to highschool together, I stumbled upon your blog a few months ago and recognized you right away. We didn't run in the same circles at all, I just knew who you were from a far, so I am sure you have no idea who I am. (I hope I don't sound creepy...) Anyway, I have been wanting to comment for a while, but I just haven't been able to find the right words. Let me just say that more than once I have been inspired by your words. Thanks.

Leslie,
May I direct you to
http://kamandjami.blogspot.com ?
You have wisdom this young mother could certainly benefit from at this time.
The wisdom of someone who has travelled the same road is of greater benefit than any map.

love,
Dawn

Leslie,

I don't know you but I saw on Jami Haban's blog that you were offering to be there for her and I just wanted to thank you for reaching out to her, although I don't know her either, (she is a friend of a friend), I KNOW you will help her through this sad time. I'm so sorry for your loss. Through the sad journey you and Jami are facing I have come to better appreciate what I have with my family and I thank you both for sharing your hearfelt thoughts and feelings with everyone, you have both touched my life and made a difference in my family. *HUGS*
